What is Camp Challenge?
Camp Challenge, a program of The Me-One Foundation,
is a place where adults with cancer/cancer survivors can go with
their family and friends to spend time away from the hectic and
often stressful routine of doctor visits and treatments. This cost-free
camp offers a variety of fun camp related activities and spa type
amenities for people of all ages in a woodsy camp environment, always
mindful of the safety and special needs of the campers. Camp Challenge
provides an environment where family and friends can also learn
more about cancer related topics. It is a place to laugh, cry, and
embrace life together. Invitations to attend Camp Challenge are
based upon completed applications and review by the selection committee.
Persons with illnesses closely related to cancer, patients in remission,
and/or people with other situations wherein the Camp Challenge directors
deem attendance appropriate, are also welcomed under special circumstances.
Bring the kids! Join us for campfires, music, crafts,
games, dancing, support groups, massages, facials, photos, and a
whole lot more!
The
Me-One Foundation would like to recognize The Taylor Family Foundation
for hosting Camp Challenge held at The Taylor Family Foundation’s
Camp Arroyo this year. Without their generosity and financial support
we would be unable to give our families this once-in-a-lifetime
camp experience. The Taylor Family Foundation’s mission is
to preserve the wellness and enhance the quality of life for children
in Northern California with life-threatening and chronic illnesses,
disabilities and youth at-risk through unique therapeutic experiences
and support. For more information, please visit www.ttff.org.
