*Following an exhaustive search, it was determined that there is no other organization in Northern California that caters to our particular need. There is a plethora of camps that will offer solace to children with cancer, or children who have survived the loss of a parent to cancer. But the short fall of these remedies and support mechanisms is that they focus on offering caring and healing to an individual,not a family. They salve to the wound that is seen, not the radiating wound that reaches outward shocking and tormenting spouses, sons, and daughters. There is no other camp that is as inclusive in its desire to encapsulate the entire magnitude of burden shouldered by a family that is attacked by this disease.

For those who have not had a parent enter into the war against cancer, it is difficult to document the significance of the need we address. For those that have, the emptiness of their eyes is but the surface of the pain that permeates throughout their daily lives. Our foundation can remove that plaque of pain. We recognize that this is a temporary relief, but also recognize that this time allows for life to find a few days of normalcy in lives that have been decimated for days, months, and years. It is a cease fire in the war. The combatants drop their weapons and embrace their true purpose on this earth, to perpetuate goodness, kindness an caring for their fellow man. When facing an uncertain future, this offer of compassion is priceless.

Our discussion with cancer centers throughout the area have been nothing short of miraculous. An overwhelming desire to offer this to their patients has immediately taxed our foundation to maintain adequate printed material to these centers. We ask that you find it in your hearts to partner with the Me-One Foundation to keep the foundation and Camp Challenge running strong until the day when we can all proudly say "yes there is a cure for cancer and no longer a need for the Me-One Foundation."
